The Lockets you can equip. Like the bandanna, ribbon, etc. One's for pacifist, one's for genocide.

The Symbolism. The pacifist one was Ariel's, the genocide one was Chara's. The fact that it says "best friends" also makes me wonder if Chara really did care about her brother.
