Doodled this off the top of my head a while back, and I've been meaning to do somthing with it since - decided to go down the water colour route again and aside from colour adjustments and the border with photoshop its all water colours and white gauche - yay
I assume she's a writer/journalist going over a manuscript in a coffe shop, but what are other people's thoughts?
N.B I hate drawing hands.... -_-;;

She looks to me like an enthusiastic college student/english major, jotting down conversation and taking notes on dialect at a local hole-in-the-wall. Being a little wary that someone might catch onto her.

Yea, I can see why u hate drawing hands.. they are one of the hardest (in my opinion).. but good job, except that it would be nice if u work more on drawing hands..

That's a pretty personal opinion, but I love the colors here - purple with a bit of red, on yellowish background looks really good. I like how her pose is still, but has motion to it. Looks like she noticed something and is ready to get up any time now :'D.

ya eh? purple is the opposite colour of yellow, meaning that the purple is intensified by the yellow - which is probably why it works so well

I'd expect to see something like this in a magazine as art for a feature

Well, its getting nearer the time when I've got to start actually putting my work to...er...work - so I'm pleased this has the magazine worthy illustration feel to it ^_^
I've never been all that confident with water colours, but with my precious gauche and photoshop correction layers on standby, I think my confidence is growing - muted is allways somthing nice to come back too - but gaudy is fun too ^_^
and yeah, hands...argh. MUST...work....more...on... them....
