Description
This is my attempt at copying [link] bySo a big thank you to him for allowing me to copy it. I learnt quite a lot from it, mainly how to use a grid.
Let me know what you think! Any and all feedback is appreciated

wow. that's quite impressive.
It's really hard to tell the difference between this and the original.
thinking about taking up a career in art forgery?

Haha thanks. I don't think many people would fall for one of my forgerys
We were supposed to copy a piece of art for tafe which is why I did it.
It's not as rewarding, copying someone elses art work rather than creating your own.
It's a great learning experience but it's not really yours.
So I probably won't be doing it very often
I will copy photo's though becuase there is room for artists license

oh, right. it's quite close to the original,
I was serious that you should consider famous art forgery though. ;-P
~I know what you mean about how it isn't as satisfying.
I kind of feel the same about fan art. that's why I rarely do them ]:-\
yeh, Photo's are far more challenging than coping another artist's, and real life even more so.

Yeah, grids help a lot for getting a likness but they're not as fun as just doing it all free hand.
I don't mind doing fan art, most of what I put up on here seems to be fan art for some reason Probably because it's the only thing I end up finishing as half the work is already done so they're fairly quick to do and I can finish them before I get distracted
Real life is definitely the hardest. Not only because it can move and change but also because it is 3D and not flat. I would say you learn the most from real life though

I canna be tamed by 'em authourities an' grids.
Imma break away. foo'
haha~ sorry. I'm listening to hiphop.
yeh, I think doing fan art would build up your composition skills though,
where as real life is more technical.

Haha it's fine It is a bit restrictive so I think I will only use it for portraits.
It probably would build your compostion skills a bit, mine were always a bit lacking.
I really need to improve my technical skills too. Well to be honest I need to improve on evrything

I'm the same. This is my first time using a grid but it kind of takes half the fun out of it I always rush towards the end too, it's a big problem for me.
