The subdued girl let out a stifled grunt as a kick went behind her knees, bringing her to the ground. One of the girls said something snarky in Japanese as she pulled the phone from her victim’s hand.

This one is going in the-nnhh!-bad idea book. A dozen LlamTech crates going to some dingy warehouse on the south side of Austin? One thing. But a dozen crates going downtown to some businessmen with rumored Yakuza ties? What the fuck was I thinking?

The way these three were handling her? They weren’t about to leave her tied up in a warehouse for the cops to find her. This was about to get ugly.
