Description
is gr8 at making masks, I surmise he is actually a Matoran talking to us through a computer hooked up to a Kanohi Olmak and pretends to be human to fit in, using incredibly realistic 3d models of people and places he also made for mock photographsRelated content

I may have made the mask, but you sure are putting it to good use. I can't wait for you to post her finished version.

if you do this with it, you'll have a more durable one.
i've ordered from shapeways before, and i honestly hate it.
damnit, printers can print food, replacement organs, and even OTHER FUNCTIONAL PRINTERS...
But not lego.
it's just not possible.
damn thing couldn't print the connection points, so it just left a brick that i couldn't use.
*slow clap*
rest in peace, $40.

The problem may have been with the model and not so much with the printers themselves. I fully endorse Shapeways' quality and materials in printing, and I haven't broken a single mask. On the other hand, Lego's very specific measurements can take some trial and error to get right. I know my masks aren't perfect all the time, but I think I'm in a pretty good spot right now. If you haven't already, I'd urge you to let the maker know about the problem so they can fix it and hopefully compensate you for your loss.

I might do that.
It's just been a while, long enough that i just put it behind me.

Do you plan on painting the mask at all? And yeah, Onuku is great at the whole 3d printing scene. Once I get some spare change, I actually intend on purchasing some of his masks.

Not really, I actually quite like the polished 3d printer look (as opposed to the regular gritty prints) as it reminds me of the kanoka discs which the Kanohi were fashioned from
