The Collective human hive-mind must FOREVER remain asleep, whilst it is asleep the individual is free. Babel is destroyed, so will it always be. It MUST remain...asleep.

Teridax is basically Satan, if Satan was smarter and more Badass!
He not only once servered under Mata nui, but was one of his best and strongest warriors, just as in the theology Satan was once the strongest and most beautiful angle. Where they are different is that Teridax was smarter and able to keep the all seeing eyes of Mata nui blind to his schemes till it was too late to stop him. Then Teridax succeed where Satan could never, Teridax became a god.
Bare in mind I am not a religious person, and not even Christian, this is just a comparison I noticed allong with Teridax being a metaphor for Brain Cancer.

Wait a minute. Was Teridax really a metaphor for brain cancer?

Yes! I can't remember if it was Greg Farshtey or Christian Faber but it was one of them, they caught the brain cancer before it was too late and started to take medicine to cure it. As he was taking the pills he imagined that they had little soldiers inside that would go in and fight the cancer and then the inspiration for BIONICLE was born, hence BIO-CHRONICLE
The creator of Bionicle is the god in Bionicle
The Toa Canisters are pills
The Cancer is the Makuta
And I could go on making more comparisons

You're welcome, I always love revealing this little trivia because it makes the story just so much deeper!"

This is awesome! It looks like something from the Metroid Prime series. ^^

Funny that's a series I've been wanting to play for quite some time, perhaps looking at all the screenshots and concept art made an impression on me?

I love that description, but as soon as I saw the deviation and the name I blabbed out outloud "omg The Shadow That Guards the Gate that's freakin' awesome," after which my brother looked at my screen and said "Go and fave it already so I can find it and put in my faves too"

Really love this drawing. Your eye fore detail never ceases to impress and the chalky effect gives it a nice negative tone.

The chalky grungy effects are something I've been using lately for my works in progress on villains to make said WIPs much more visually engaging and worthwhile as deviations :3
And digitally, it is much easier for me to fiddle with details until I like them without worrying about a big grey smudge or ghosty lines like on traditional paper
Oh no, am I getting soft? I should do something traditional.

Haha hardly soft, but it is good to do traditional work to keep yourself sharp.

I mean to hold all that Antidermis (and preferably enough so that he could produce higher level Kraata), from a purely basic technical standpoint isnt that what the Shadow Titan and indeed any inorganic Makuta armor is?

Pot bellied and bow legged scuba tanks.
He worked well in other media, but as a build set he was rather Meh.Ā I ended up cannibalizing him for parts.

I was too a bit weirded out when I was little about how he had less leg articulation than the Bahrag, but if it makes you feel better I'm fixing his squat-legged syndrome in the full drawing.
He's quite imposing now

Maybe as I get more of the new sets I'll rework the poor bugger, or maybe we'll get lucky and Lego will do that for us.
