MY Jenkins went on to be the Psionic CHAMPION Volunteer that took it to the alien temple ship, and kicked their asses. And I specifically made his armor red, and gave him first name "Leroy". I would always laugh at his assault styled charge, and yell as narrator, "LEROY, JENKINS!"

Truth! Ironman mode or not, the death of a lovingly customized favorite soldier really activates gamer angst, followed by gamer rage and gamer murder spree.

Considering what happened to another Jenkins in the first ten minutes of a certain other sci-fi game, probably not the best choice in names.

Corporal Redshirt might be a improvement.

Well in the original, you start with mostly low stat little lemmings you don't care if they live or die...
But as they gain stats you start loving them more and more too... ^^

Especially if you rename them... XD
