Hi there !

I told you a bit about it, but for my thesis, i had to create a game prototype.

My thesis subject was "Therapy through games". So as an answer, i created a game based on my own experience, a game about grief and mourning.

I'm a bit stressed because i worked hard on this, but i'm sure everything will be okay !My thesis was "Therapy through games". So as an answer, i created a game concept based on my own experience, a game about grief and mourning. It's not meant to be fun aha.Summary : You play as a character devastated by the recent death of a loved one. Depressed, you feel listless, and despair is eating you away a bit more every day. You will have to face several osbtacles ; depression, loneliness, anger, guilt, pain, denial, self-destruction... Your journey will involves going through different stages of mourning so that you can accept to let your ghosts fly away, without forgetting, and thereby move forward.I'm no programmer nor animator, so it doesn't exactly look/work how i pictured it (some animations weren't integrated, or the blizzard/Guilt doesn't act how it's supposed to act for example), i wish i had more time. I'm glad i still manage to create something aha.You can try it on itchio, but keep in mind that it's a VERY short prototype made by an artist who sucks at programming, it barely shows the beginning of what could be the game, please be indulgent :'), .*** Before downloading and launching the prototype, you can watch a quick animated storyboard for the intro here (Put the sound on)., .*** If you don't have time to try it or don't want to, i recorded a video of the prototype !, .*** And i also quickly animated the ending storyboard (Put the sound on)., .You can see a few things i did for the prototype on my Artstation, i'll probably post two illustrations on DA (like the tree and the memory pictures) :)https://www.artstation.com/artwork/48YND2 It's not perfect, but considering the time i had for both my thesis and this prototype, I am happy with the work accomplished !)

In this game, you'll sometimes get what i call a "memory".
