Description
All the working on G3 and now this?
Well...moving Mini-Me to the latest model-generation is something I was planning to do for a while already,
and while trying out some G8 features I just gave it a quick trial, based on MrJx' set-up for the latest version of Mini-me.
It's not done yet, while I am surprised how close that really quick sketch already comes,
and I just love the great facial features of the Generation 8 characters!
MrJx is on the road today (yeah, out there, where the Zombies are! ), and if he's back I think I am trying to convince him to finally make that step!
And you can join the journey, if you like
Have fun, folks, be safe
and feel loved!

Ha...I just checked that folder and realized how empty it is!
There were many more pictures in it, but I guess the folders once got messed up, when I put stuff in storage and back and then had a period of "non core membership", where folders are messed up anyway.
Have to check for the rest of that stuff and put it back...
Regarding No 5...
that will be tricky, really.
I have to check which versions I have available for DAZ Studio, as I was working with Carrara for a long time, particularly with previous Mini-Me versions.
Will be fun to do a deep dive into old back-up drives!
However, even if I only use available versions the picture will be quite populated
I mean,...here we have already three:

Yes, I remembered that picture when the idea occurred to me. Speaking of pictures, versions of Mini-you can also appear in the picture in a picture. In fact, determining how many Mini-you there are could become a challenge for the followers.
I think the scene will be a lot of fun, and looking forward to it.

G8 looks great and I think you can handle the finishing touches. I myself am still hesitating.

This is my favorite of your recent testing, as far as the body is concerned. I'm not familiar with the face but it may come as I see more of that model, but the possibility to create and play with subtle expressions seems to be there.

The more I look at it the more it becomes my favorite too, even if it's far from being finished.
It's mainly the facial features that I like the most too, and also some body details that are more believable.

Looks promising. I agree.
When moving model, it is important to check if the new model actually offers new possibilities and ease of work.
As for the result here, it is not bad at all, as you say.

Thank you
G8 has some great small details that you only notice at second sight, but that make a great difference in the overall impression/expression a character has.
It's the facial features, mainly. But also some parts of the body and the limbs that seems to be worth the effort of the transfer.

Oh I thought your character was G8 all this time.. I love this new version, though it is strikingly similar to the previous "you" which would make sense. I just love the distinct nature of your face, it goes so perfectly with your incredibly unique mind. So you made this face and body with morphs?
I am always so curious how close to the real you, do you feel your character is? Is it more of an idealized version of how you'd like to look, or is it closer to the real real you? The 3D selfies I've made (1 in Daz, 1 with Zbrush) I tried to make as close to myself as I could, but it ends up being still slightly idealized without intending, with slightly larger muscles and a slightly larger bit of "manhood" I suppose (but only "slightly" I swear lol).
The body is so nicely done, I think it looks amazing and such wonderful natural realism to it. The shape of the breasts is so naturally perfect, the neck and collar bones look ideally real, and your stomach/knees/feet are probably my favorite part I can see so much realistic detail, and as skinny as you are there is still a lovely natural touch of softness on the belly and waist. And wow your arms look ripped like you've been putting in some work doing bicep curls and tricep extensions regularly. This is easily one of my favorite 3D selfie models I've seen around anywhere. Can't wait to see her/you in your future adventures
(sorry for the essay, I tried to keep it short but couldn't help myself hehe)

Thank you for the essay!
I like that, really
Mini-Me is pretty close to the real me, while some details - some smaller, some larger - are not there yet.
Hand are too large, arms a bit too thick, my trapezius isn't just as defined (even though I am working out for almost 30 and swimming for more than 10 years now) hips a bit too narrow, lips don't have the final shape yet (need to be a bit smaller)...
I've always been a bean-pole, really, and only in the last year I gained some pounds that seem to stay eventually.
So, there's some insulation now covering the sharp-edge bones!
Overall, this version is the one that feels the closest to me with all the nice details that make Mini-Me look as old as I actually am
And I'm looking forward to work on and with her

I'm glad I finally started with that process.
And guess why: I tried the Powerpose feature on a G8 character
(it was you, with whom I was talking about that, right? )

Naja, mal sehen.
