Description
One for the weekend 
Which doesn't mean that this is a reflection of my weekend activities!
Much rather am I preparing my travels for the next two weeks, so I'm quite busy with stuff.
This one is still kind of special because it contains a lot of stuff that's lying around in my runtime like forever and was never used before.
Like the apemen and their outfit and all these devices (while the "specimen" are two of my most favourite V4 characters from the time when I was still working with that character generation, the one to the right is "Paris" from "Danae". The other one is GND4 by "Blackhearted").
How it came to this?
Well, I recently made my account for my spendings for new 3D stuff in 2018...and I was shocked, really!
Even though I've been donated with a lot of toys too, I really spent too much money in the 3D marketplaces.
So, I decided to not spend any money at all from now on, until I haven't used all that unused stuff!
(I'm still open for donations though 
However, you can expect more from that kind of nostalgic stuff (once I'm back from the trips)
which I hope you'll like.

Well, they have all the time to make all the tests required to find out, the experimentation subjects don't seem to be going anywhere. Better be safe than sorry, and make a very comprehensive testing to be really sure that you get everything right and won't mess up with the experimental results. At this point, they might need to change the subjects, of course, but you don't make an omelette without breaking eggs...

As to shopping sprees at the DAZ store, I have not been so brave as to make up my account for 2018, but would wager that I've spent as much as you, or more, in my first year in this rendering business. You’re clearly not the only one throwing way too much money at 3D stuff you haven’t even used yet (and neither am I )

I'd really love to know why the 3D marketing is working so well on me, while I am else quite resistant against it.
It's probably because if I see a well made product I immediately have an idea what I could do with it...
So the best is to not look at new stuff!

Öhm, tolle Lichteffekte... aber kenne das Problem, hab sooooooooo viel Zeug rumfahren, dass ich noch nie benutzt habe. Schrecklich... aber bei Videospielen ist es auch so, in Sales wird zugeschlagen und habe (dank DAZ) viel zu wenig Zeit dafür oder sitzen oft davor (DAZ bzw. Spieleliste) und weiß vor lauter Möglichkeiten gar nicht was ich tun soll => überfordert => keine Lust mehr.

It’s a good thing that you only made an account of how much you spent on 3D in 2018, and not since you started in 3D. Same as you, and probably many others, I have a lot of unused items, and I like your idea of trying to include at least some of them in your scenes.
This is a fun and interesting scene, although I am not quite sure what exactly it is that the apes are trying to do or determine. By the looks of it, one of them has trouble understanding the readings, or they don’t quite meet his expectations.

I guess I am not yet brave enough to make that account for all the stuff I've bought during the past 10 years!
I think 2018 was record-breaking though. Last year's "March Madness" really turned out mad for me.
(I made similar accounts for other spendings and found out that I haven't spend not even close the amount of money for my own wardrobe...in the last two years!
I think these apemen just captured that human scientific laboratory and are trying to find out what the hell these bare-necks were working on!

I think the apemen aren't sure either what they are doing here. It looks as if they just captured that lab and try to find out how everything works.
