Date: 27th October 1962

When the Nuclear Bomb sent to Brendam detonated, it caused a tidal wave that hit much of the Brendam Coast, sweeping infrastructure and people out to sea, including NWR D2 ‘BoCo’ ex-BR D5702.

The testimony from eyewitnesses have stated that the diesel, with very fresh burns on the corners of his face and shattered windows was staring at the wave, with tears. Apparently accepting his fate.

The diesel’s remains were located 5 nautical miles of shore were finally located in 2020.
