Description
Date: 5th February 1963NWR No.6 ‘Percy’ is seen here with a line of coal wagons, headed for Barrow-In-Furness taking over for a failed diesel, the amount of scars on the driver’s side (Left, all NWR Locomotives were left-hand drive) is the result of smashed glass from Ffarquhar Motive Power Depot from the shockwave.
Today is preserved at the Ffarquhar Branch Heritage Railway.
