Been working on this for a few days, don't pay attention to her crappy hand, crappy background, and bizarre spider, please T_T
Oh and crappy spiderwebs..
But it was fun, fun lighting

Heh yeah i was hesitating at putting in the spider, but there was such an empty space i had to add something!! A spider seemed appropriate... If i'd put more than one the picture would have freaked me out xD

Awesome work! I love the perspective and overall composition--They really evoke that claustrophobic feeling tombs have. The lighting, especially on her hair, is amazing, and the spider and web are nice touches.

I love glowy bits too, lighting is my favourite thing to do in my pictures, especially excessive unrealistic lighting xD
The transparent bit was relatively easy to do, basically it was drawn as if i was doing the lighting on an object that i hadn't yet drawn, if i were to draw it in a "realistic" painting manner, i'd have had to pick the colours behind it and make them lighter to draw the object, not very handy for me 'cos i was constantly adding shadows everywhere, if i'd done it like that it would have been "off" around that area..
That or just do it on a different layer and turn the opacity down a bit..

Well, i use an extra layer set on addition for the lighting, 'cos it makes it so much more glowy and i just love that.. So yeah shortcuts can be good too

And yes he has a smiley face on his butt, many insects have likenesses to faces on them to scare other things away, and i just couldn't be arsed to draw a realistic spider... So i thought "ooh, lets put a spider with a smiley of dooooom on his butt"
