Ok, this is what I did while I was stuck waiting for my flight (which ended up cancelled - grrrrrr@volcanoes). I started thinking this whole 'no-fly-zone' thing was like some bizarre cartoon scenario, which led me to doodling although I drew the outline from a t.v screenshot.The title, well... 'protection' is a good thing surely? You think of care and being looked after but it could have a more sinister meaning and this *is* Starscream after all
So... you'd probably have to pay .... in some way.I'm not happy with the sky.. I tried a 'shopped background but it didn't work and so I rushed the shading. Grrrrr..... Also, my scanner didn't pick up the shading very well - sorry!
I don't own Transformers (Hasbro and some other types do). Well, obviously

....YES! Of course you can colour Skywarp. I'm going to do him in colour pencil too but I think he'll look fab all shiny and digital, so go for it (give me a nod when you're done cos I'd love to see it). I'm not hugely happy with his expression so feel free to make it more...Warpy... if you like
I'd love to do some digital colouring, I just need to get a tablet sorted out.

Digital coloring is fun. I say that because it's the only kind that I can do. *laughs* But yes, I can't imagine doing it without a tablet. No, no, no. Mine's a Wacom Intuous3, and it was expensive as hell, but I loves it to death. The only thing that would make me love it more was if it was wireless, but...oh well.
And yeah, "Screampuff" is my nickname for Screamer there. Often shortened to just "Puff." He haaaaates it.

I don't know what it is about backgrounds that makes them so danged hard! For me, it's often scale that gives me fits, when it comes to pics of TFs. So...I usually just give up and do something with gradients and sometimes texture, which is/are easy in Photoshop. Blegh.
Yep, Seekers are hard to tell apart without their colors, although I like to imagine that their faces are a little different, at least. If I ever draw them, I intend to differentiate them a little that way. Just 'cuz I think it'd be freaky to live amongst a bunch of other people who look exactly like you. *shudders*

I'm sure I read something on ff about the seekers switching colours to p*** Megatron off... anyways, yeah I agree with the faces/expressions being different (would Puffy-poo ever wear a wide silly grin? I think not
Background yeah, texture is always a good bet. I'm trying to do something in PS that will work with my pencil art but its hard

I find that it's hard to merge something done digitally with something done with real media. I've never been able to make it look right. But that could just be lack of skill on my part. For me, with backgrounds, scale and perspective seem to be the problems. As in, making the perspective of the background match that of the foreground image. I have tried to use stock images as sort of a reference, but have so far failed. So usually I just give up and go back to texture, gradients, and lighting effects. I'm a coward.
And you're welcome for the watch. I love your pencil work. Like the image of the woman in the blue dress at the train station. The draping her clothing is marvelously rendered. I am deeply envious. Green, even.

But yes, you need to finish that train station one. I'm curious to see the background. Looks almost like medieval vaulting there... (Nightwind likes architecture, yeeeesssss...)

I don't know if I can be bothered with the background of 'Platform 2', its cool, not medieval but vaulting and green metal, very 1920's and pretty (I can send you a link to the photo).

Volcanoes, yes there is one in Iceland that keeps blowing up and the ash cloud from that keeps affecting travel in Europe

Here, 'fruit loop' is a way of saying someones a little bit crazy (i.e he's a bit of a fruit loop) but I take it you mean the colours???
