5 years ago (y/n) met Matt by accident, both crossed paths and papers went flying, 2 weeks later, (y/n) found Matt’s office to give him some of his papers back, and thanks to Karen, they began a beautiful friendship that came into a relationship and then into a wedding.

You could say that they have an excellent relationship, on the one hand (y/n) never lied to Matt, marring a lawyer has taught her that no police (or herself) could lie to him, but in Matt’s side, well, it is another story, his secret identity as daredevil brought lie after lie.

And this is why you are in an interrogation room holding the mask of the new proclaimed hero of Hell's Kitchen and your husband hanging his head in shame.

(That same day in the morning)

(Y/n) got up early as usual, took a quick shower and is dressed in her uniform, one of the advantages of being police officer was that they gave her an incredible gun the bad thing was getting up every day at 4 am and barely see her amazing husband. While she was brushing her hair, she notices dark circles under he reyes, since the famous daredevil, since her boss knew about him, he became obssess to catch and expose him to all, so that mean more work for her.

Suddenly arms surrounded her waist and a smile slowly appeared.

"Will you have breakfast with me this time?"

"I would love to... but..."

"I understand" Matt kissed her shoulder. "I'd like that you take a few days off" he whispered.

"I can't, we are so close to catch him love" (Y/N) turned around and kiss his lips. "When this over, I promise that I'll take a month and we’ll go to a really secret place far away and we'll only be you and me"

Matt said nothing, simply put his head on her shoulder and took a deep breath, a wave of guilt flooded him, but remained silent.

"Goodmorning Larry" (Y/N) smile at her partner and gave him his coffee.

"Swear mother of God (Y/N) I don’t know what I did to deserve someone like you, if you were single and I didn’t had a handsome boyfriend I would marry you and we would have a chihuahua that we would name Stephano."

"Oh God no, changing the subject, how's everything with little red?"

"Not much,Chief complained about an hour saying that we were some incompetent people because we hadn’t be able to catch him, then left and hasn’t returned, I don't know what is his eagerness to catch red, although I would love to use this handcuffs in him" Larry moved his eyebrows suggestively and (Y/N) began to laugh.

"You're impossible."

"Uh girl you get that right"

"(Y/N), wake up love" Larry whispered and moved her until she woke up.

"What the hell do you want?"

"They catch him babe, they are taking him to the interrogation room"

"What? How?"

"Apparently this Sebastian guy hit him pretty hard down there, really low if you ask me, they’re thinking who should go talk to him"

"Where is the boss?"

"No idea girl, I think he’s still in his 'happy hour' but they are saying you are the choosen one, since you have two great pair of..."

"Not ever finish that sentence Lorenzo"

"Shhh, that name is forbidden and go make yourself beautiful"

"Agent (Y/N)" A really old guy said as he gave her some papers.

"Yes?"

"We need you go talk to him, he hasn’t said anything and take off his mask if you can"

"Mask? Why is so difficult to remove his mask?"

"Four officers tried it, 2 came out with broken ribs"

“And the other two?"

"Out of the window, we trusted that you won't have any problem, you have permission to shoot if it’s necessary"

(Y/n) opened the door, there he was, sitting under the single room lamp, this should be interesting.

"You were hard to catch" (Y/N) said quietly as she closed the door. "I was informed that you hurt four officers, impressive, but don't say that I said that, they would have my head on a stick"

Silence, (Y/N) could see how his shoulder tensed when she got closer.

"They asked me to remove your mask, but you use it for a reason, which I understand but I need to do it, sorry"

Her hand went to his mask but he moved fast, unfortunately no fast enough. Her hands removed the mask but she wasn't prepared for what she saw.

“(Y/N)...” Matt, her husband, who never keep secrets with her whispered without raising his head.

(Y/n) said nothing, just walk back into the wall, once she stumbled upon it slipped to sitting on the floor.

Her eyes filled with tears, it was a joke, it had to be a joke, there was no way in this world in which Matt, her Matt was daredevil.
"It's a joke, it has to be a joke, you can be, you're blind, you're blind, oh God my please, please di is lying, please..." His voice was turning the volume down but Matta listened and they broke you heart, didn't have to happen this way.

"(Y/N)...you have to understand..."

"Understand what? That my blind husband is the devil of Hell's Kitchen, what other lies have you told me, huh? Are you blind? Our marriage? You just marry me to be closer to the police station?”

"I did it to protect you"

"Yeah right, the ‘I did it to protect you’ thing, guess what Matt, if that’s really your name, you are a goddamn liar"

Matt just sat there in silence.

After a long silence (Y/N) spoke.

"How?"

"How what?"

"How did you manage all those things without me noticing them?"

“I put sleeping pills in your tea" Matt whispered, and with a lot of effor he manage to sit down next to her.

"Why? I’m suppose to be you wife, you could I don’t know, trust me?" (Y/n) whispered.

"I had to protect you, I just…I just had to, Fisk, I don't want you hurt"

"Too late for that, don't you think?" (Y/n) raised her hand and touch his cheek. "He didn’t hurt me Matt, you did it, you hurt me more"

"Sorry" Matt closed his eyes.

"What will you do?"

"I... I don’t know"

"Tell me everything, for the first time just... just tell me the truth, just... just for once…please"

"How long have you know this?"

"If what you say is true, and belive me I really want to trust you, you have to complete this, whatever this is" (Y/N) pulled out her keys and remove the handcuffs. "Listen, and listen well, right now there are seven policemen out there, two police officers and three Secretaries at the front door," she gave him his mask and pulled out her pistol. "You only have one chance, if my boss enter that door it will be impossible to get you out of here, grab my gun and knock me down, and leave, don’t you dare look back, just you go, did you hear me?"

"I...no... I can’t"

"It’s not your call Matt, not any more”

“(Y/N)...”

"Just…don’t be…don’t be surprise if I don’t go back home…I…I need time"

"I love you..."

"Just go..."

And everything became dark for (Y/N).
