The central character that the show/book/movie revolves around. Like say the movie Aladdin or Scooby-doo. Their the central character their show is about.If they got killed off first episode then there wouldn't be a point of continuing the shows or at least not with the same name. Pinkie pie is one of six characters the show is involves.
If they just suddenly stopped ever showing her after episode1 there really wouldn't be a point to her appearing in the intro.
