A fanfic assumed that zero had a lot of energy in his body that ever gets directly used .... which lends more credit to how as long as Zeroβs personality bits are intact and he has at least one functioning arm, heβs coming back either by his own hand (x6) or someone elseβs (x2)

Just as someone said, I think Zero lied about what he said about "repairing himself".

That's one reason i didn't like X6. IF they had left it at 3 YEARS like it said at the end of X5, rather than 3 WEEKS, i would have believed it a bit more. Zero's a beast but he was blown in half and had a hole through his chest. It would have taken much longer than 3 weeks to get himself repaired without help.

In any case, I thought it's Isoc who repaired him? Although there's almost nothing hinted about that in the games
Or, if I were to give a wild guess: The Zero we see after that (and up to the next games) is actually Nightmare Zero. Who may have been Zero himself, rebuilt and get infused by Nightmare Virus.

Yeah, forgot about that. Well, it may not have been isoc that repaired him, but Gate did find part of Zero and made the Nightmare from it....it's been too long since i played. I'll have to go back and play again.
