Description
A USAAF flight instructor typical of the ones seen at Army Air Fields like Lambert in St. Louis, Scott Air Field in southern Illinois, or Chanute Air Field in Rantoul, Illinois. Chanute is also where the 99 Fighter Squadron was formed. It was the first all black squadron and soon became part of the 332 Fighter Group known as the Tuskegee Airmen.Credits to tonushifan
