Here are all the Three A1 Prototypes. Idea was heavily influenced by T1E2H3. All Three proto's show different aspects from each other. After their test are complete, Gresley picks each part from his proto's for the official A1 Pacific. Using designs of Jeremy's Funnel, Gordon's Boiler and Dome & Boris' Running board, Cab and Whistle put together would later become Great Northern and many others after, including Flying Scotsman. After all A1's had been completed, Jeremy and Boris had been given the same treatment the other A1's got when built and were officially renamed and renumbered 2583 (North British) and 2584 (Great Eastern). The only one who didn't get the mod's was Gordon, as he was already on Sodor at this point. He wouldn't become a full A1 until 1939 when he had a serious accident with his coupling rods. He was then sent back to Doncaster for a repair and full rebuild into an A1.
