UNIVERSE: in a world where Wheatley is Chell's friend, and she's a young child..
It was a nice, sunny day in Michigan. All was well and quiet.. Other than Wheatley's whimpering.
Chell tossed around in her bed a little, before hitting the floor. She got up and sighed, before walking out of her messy bedroom and into the hallway. She took a few steps before stopping and looking up at the sphere, she quietly reached up and stroked his bottom handle.
"Ohgawdwhatistha- Good morning.." Wheatley said, jolting awake. Chell smiled at him a little, before walking into the kitchen and started to make herself a samwitch.
Wheatley had followed along on his rail, of course. Chell's mother walked into the kitchen and looked at the two. "You're up early, show and tell is today." She said, propped up on the wall. "Have any idea what you want to bring?" She continued, glancing over at Chell.
Chell nodded in response, she had finished making the samwitch and had walked over to the table, sat down and started eating. "The bus comes in fifteen minuites, I already packed your things." Chell's mother said, before walking back into the hall.
"So, what are you gonna bring?" Wheatley asked, awkwardly twitching around. "You." Chell said, in her ghost-like whisper of a voice. "Wha- oh.. Right, payback." Wheatley said, before looking at the clock. "We should go, then." He said, looking at Chell.
Chell had finished her breakfeast already, she walked over to the door and glanced over at her backpack. Wheatley rolled himself over, and Chell grabbed his handle. He disengaged himself, and was being held safely.
Chell gently put the core in her backpack, petting his shell. She put the bag on her back and walked over to her bus stop, greeted by five other kids.
"Hey, Chell!" A short girl with red hair said, looking over at Chell. "What's that?" A dark-haired boy asked, looking at Wheatley, who was currently adjusting his optic to the light.
"That's Wheatley, I'm taking him to show-and-tell as payback." Chell responded, glacing over at the robot. "I was terrified! Why wouldn't I have done that!?" He whimpered, before all he kids suddenly stared at him.
"It can talk?" The tallest girl said, with a confused look on her face. "Yes, I can talk and I prefer to be called a he instead of an it.." Wheatley responded, before looking over at the road. " Oh, great. The bus should be here in twenty seconds." He said, sand the bus quickly showed up. They all walked in, taking seats. Chell was in the back, alone.
Wheatley managed to shut himself down for a while, before getting woken up by Chell grabbing his top-handle.

Chell walked to the front of the class,Β before awkwardly holding him up. "This is Wheatley." She said, and Wheatley looked at her with a 'HOW DID YOU TAL ME INTO THIS!?' face, before looking at the school children.. THis could go good or really, really bad. For him. "Hello, school children." Wheatley said, in a very shy voice. "Cool." Some dark-haired boy said, looking bored. "Ireallydon'twanttobehere,atall." Wheatley said, twitching his handles a little. "Uhmmm.. I really don't know what to say right now." Wheatley said, as Chell put him on a desk.
A girl in the back ofΒ the class stood up slowly, before walking over to Wheatley and gently stroking him a few times. At first, Wheatley shivered a bit, before purring, and before he knew it, he was being pet by seven children and Chell and holding his upper-handle.
"Staaaapit." Wheatley said, getting a bit annoyed.. No response. "Really, stop." He said, again.. No response. He shook a little, before letting out a few roar-like-chirps and scaring them off, other than Chell. "Thank you for leaving me alone." Wheatley said, he was in a VERY bad mood right now. The bell rang and children ran out of the room with their bags, and Chell placed Wheatley in her backpack, before walking outside to wait for the bus.

Either that or GLaDOS tested a new youth goo on Chell and it worked too well, so now Wheatley sees a new chance to trick Chell into plugging him back into the mainframe.
