Figured it was about time to upload a new ID
Maybe some day I will upload a picture of myself but not liking the way I look does not make that a whole lot of fun Maybe one day if I can get my acne under better control or something, but for now its just gonna be my Smith and Wesson Model 581! This was perfect, a touch of green, my favorite side arm, and it even started snowing a little bit when I shot this 
it started snowing right as I was setting this up 
I was up at my cabin hunting and on the last day went out to shoot this 
Hopefully when i go up next there will be more snow. Even if I do not shoot a new ID, I would love to do some winter nature shooting.. shit I just want snow at home too who am I kidding XDI shot this with my new Nikon D7000 with my dad's old manual 85mm f1.8 mounted on it
If I remember correctly I had it down at f4 when I took this shot I plan to upload more using that lens soon Its a beast!

I do, just not as much actually!With revolvers, the grip angle is different, plus the bore axis is lower, so the recoil feels smoother. Even if there is more of it, like when I shoot .357 magnum!

The M581 is a nice gun.It's a fixed sight version of The M586.Too bad they no longer make this one.Tell me.How well does she do on the range??

NO no no no.Don't change the sights.M581s in that condition are somewhat rare.As the gun hasn't been produced for more than 20 years.You might do more harm than good.And it might devaule the gun.Leave it As-Is.Now as to grips.If comfort is what your looking for.Than I would go with something from "EAGLE GRIPS"Check their websight.Or if you can find them a set of "PHACMAYER:hard rubber grips might do the trick.

The picture is deceiving lol. Its not in as good a shape as it looks, at least as far as the finish goes, everything else on it is fine. However I care not about devaluing it as far as resale value because I never plan to sell it. It actually has not been produced in over 30 years! Lol. This one is 34-35 years old.
I want at least partially wood grips so the Pacmayers have never been an option and the Eagle Grips seem to be far more expansive than I would like, namely for a carry gun like this one is. There was a manufacturer I was looking at a while ago but I can't remember the name. I got it saved somewhere though.

Awesome shot! Great story behind it too, with the snow... First thought that came to my mind upon seeing this overall photo was I bet he has it titled "Between life and Death" A killing instrument set between dead leaves and live moss...what a message! Even if you didn't mean to.

Well, I don't think of them as "killing instruments" either, per se... just meant to point out the connection as it may have pertained to the title which came to mind: "Between. life. and death". i.e. the life: moss, death: leaves; and what is lying 'between' them - the gun; which can certainly bring about a death too. Just really cool symbolism going on there. And I did think you deliberately arranged it to look that way.

Well if they are "intentionally" doing it then you are justified in feeling that way and you do what you must to put them in their place. In my experience though, these kinds of bullies never go after those who they really think are dumb. They go after the ones who they envy their intellect. They just want you to Think they think you're dumb; a way of trying to rob you of what is yours.

I think most people see what's going on. They just don't want to get involved; or more to the point, they don't want to become their next target. I'd put them in their place. A good way to do it is with good old point blank honesty; ask a lot of questions; make them answer. Let them shit or get off the pot. And if they can't be blunt about their intentions (for all to see) then tell them to just keep talking their shit and keep their shit breath to them self.
I had a guy, when I was relatively new here, come on My artwork, making uncalled for nasty remarks. Long story short, we got into a big fight. I left him dumb founded (yeah, you really would have had to see my very 'UN'Characteristic language that day... The best advice IS to ignore them. Walk away if you can. But sometimes they don't make it easy, and you have to fight back. This is more what I'm referring to.

Yes, sometimes people Are stupid like that. They see a shy, or socially awkward person, and assign an intellect to them; rather than simply observe, or 'gawd forbid', get to know them! And the thing is, the "shy", and "socially awkward", have always, proven to be the smartest of them all in reality. And that's why I said before, they do know you are Not dumb, but just want You to Think they think you are. It's them who have the low self esteem (they may just hide it Really Well) and it's why they constantly pull shit; makes them feel smarter, or superior. (how pathetic is that? )

I need to try to figure that out on my own, not just with time. I have always been told "oh with time you'll be more confident" or "oh with time this or that" and it couldn't be further from the truth. Technically yes I am more confident than I was five years ago but its not relative to age. I have to take what I want not just wait for it. I need to make the effort to learn how to be myself.
