Description This species is usually encountered in heavy forest in dark shaded areas. Neopithecops zalmora zalmora has a feeble flight and appears silvery on the wing. The large black spot in space 7 is very distinct in contrast with the white background of the undersides of the wings. Both sexes are blackish brown above.

The species has usually been encountered singly. Its feeble, fluttering erratic flight, in the darkest recesses of the nature reserves, gives it a moth-like appearance.
