Description
this shot was taken in varadero, cuba in 2002. hurricane isidore was on its way and fortunately it didnt really hit cuba that bad. but it was quite stormy and rainy and you could imagine a bit of how powerful it must be.Related content

its a pretty cool beach but there are lots of tourists there though....so that kinda sux. and native cubans who dont work in hotel business dont really have access to that beach so that sux even more actually.
thanks for your visit!

Wow... it's beautiful. I love storms... they're so passionate and seemingly angry. Just like me.

GOsh it must be scary.. i love the impact of the picture. but i would rather have a dark tone rather than sepia. maybe the effect is even stronger.

thanks for your constructive comment! it is appreciated. but I have tried it before and I didnt like the b&W one too much thats why I decided for that one in the end.

whoa. thats a seriously bad quality picture. it looks antique almost. if it was designed to be like this then well done I guess it gives a good feeling of the depression at the time of the approaching storm.

thanks a lot! hehe, it just looks like an old quality pic because those bastards who work in the film-store didnt develop it the way i wanted it. but I still like how it came out. so, yeah, i just put the sepia effect and some contrast to make it look older. thanks again for the comment and sorry for the very very late reply!

I love the sepia tones and contrast on this.... it looks beautiful! I love sitting outside watching lightening storms... but I don't think i'd like to be caught in a hurracaine-- but anyway, great capture!

lol yes it looks better this way
and i totally know what you mean about the lightning and all that. i lov looking at it.
there arent hurricanes or anything here and there isnt snow so no chance to see that either but i love watching thunderstorms and all that. ive never seena tornado - i would LOVE to though - provided no one gets hurt/injured. thats the one condition..lol - im sure the tornadoes would love to listen to that..
but yea - they're really breathtaking sights

well, it might sound macabre or sadistic or something but ive alwasy thought that the most gorgeous things are antural disasters
i just pray that no one is hurt but if i had the chance then i would love to see them. it's just that when people are injured as they very often are then it's a tragedy. but by themselves i think that hurricanes, earthquakes and especially volcanoes are spectacular. especially volcanoes...
and lightning.
i know i said i love beautiful scenery...well i love this just as much if not.. more
great capture and the colouring is really good
