Backstory:
Piks wasn't always living in Treasure Town. He onced lived with his family which lived about a long distance from Treasure Town, only reachable for about 3 days from where he lived. It would've been a bit quicker, except along the way, there was unfortunate natural disasters, and bad Pokemon everywhere.

Piks always dreamt of being on an exploration team, unfortunately, his brother kept being nasty, and saying things that make him be a coward, a coward enough to have the motivation enough to even travel to Wigglytuff's guild. He grabbed his family Pecha Scarf, and went alone through the insane cliffs, darkest woods, and even climbed a mountain... And having to climb back down it, which didn't end very well since he broke his back trying to get down, it took a day to heal, but he got through it, he never gave up.

After a few days later, he arrived at Treasure Town, he hadn't eaten at the time he got there, (Since he doesn't have a treasure bag at this time.) and he only has enough money to last him a few days. He expected to knock on a door to the guild and let them accept him for all this trouble... Unfortunately, he thought of a wrong time to start thinking about what his brother said, he started to be nervous, forgetting about the grate on the ground, and being scared half to death by a voice underneath, while also jumping up in the air intensely high. He never though how he was able to get in without being scared. Piks then found a lovely bubble covered sunset. It made him cheer up and try again tomorrow of he didn't join it today. After that, he was able to find a home on Sharpedo Bluff under a bush, leading to an empty room with empty barrels to store fruits. There wasn't anyone there, and nobody seems to even know it was here, and he kept it that way for awhile.

A few days later (Before he ran out of apples), he discovered a treasure with a strange symbol on it, he wanted to take it home, he felt confident he could join the guild. Unfortunately, a storm erupted, and he couldn't go to the guild until it stopped, which made him sleep for an entire day, which was an accident. He grabbed his relic and rushed before the sun setted. Once again, he tried to stay still, but once again, he was caught offguard by the voice underneath, and stepped off it before anymore voices came from underneath it. He thought to himself, and went to the beach to relax himself, like he had been doing.

That's when he discovered that Adam was lying on the ground, unconscious. Piks would've assumed he was washed up from the shore, which was a likely answer at the time.

As of him right now? He kept his bravery through everything he's been through, and he never gave up. As of his family, he will go back one day, and show his brother how tough he has been through the months he's been through.

"One day... But not today."

Edit: Piks' back was healed by a random Pokemon who was able to heal it by using some extra healing seeds and making sure his spine wasn't completely broken. Thankfully, it's not.
