The first study for "Caliban" or "Cal" from "Seven Day Mind," a graphic novel project I'm working on.

Caliban – Genetically engineered to be the perfect human psionic, Cal is the lynch-pin in a scheme by the world’s government to round up the rebel tribes of the world so they might be effectively exterminated all at once. Cal is trained from birth to develop his psionic abilities to the fullest, and when he defects to the Outcast, he soon becomes known among all the tribes for his prowess. Pulled by the lure of power and fueled by the desire for revenge, Cal unites the tribes and leads them in an offensive against the abusive government. When Cal is confronted by his father on his 32nd birthday, he learns he has only 7 days to live, wherein he has the choice to either sacrifice himself and dismantle the oppressive government in power or attempt to find a cure for his condition so he might live on unopposed in the struggle for power.
