Hey, yeh it's my new toy, the 50L 1.2! Awesome fun to shoot with, wanted a fast prime but the canon 1.4 is one of the worst 50mm primes you can get across manufacturers so I skipped it...I've been bitten by the L bug

I got a new toy too, a Tamron 10-24mm. I was going to get the new Nikon 10-24 but its twice the price.

Thanks! See I had a set budget for some lenses, I wanted the 100mm macro for definate, and was then going to get the canon 10-22 and a 50mm 1.4.....but decided I hardly ever find myself wanting to shoot any wider than 24 on a crop body (weird I know) so swapped the last 2 for some L goodness.

Nice, I see you've been busy hosting pics, I've been enjoying them! Good stuff, now that the summer hols have started I'll be out more with my camera ^^

Thanks man, yeah been busy with my camera lately. I get loads of time off work so i have more time to play

I'm sooting a wedding at the end of Aug, I hope to get a Nikkor 50mm 1.4 for it

Just be careful, when you start getting down below to f1.4 things get touchy and it's easy to get things OOF. You'll get the hang of it quickly though!

Thanks man, i'm not sure if luck will even touch me though. I need a bloody miracle! I've never been able to convince myelf that i'm any good at taking pictures so fuck knows what i was thinking when i agreed to take on a wedding =/

Haha, I hope you don't mind me asking, are you doing it as a paid job or just as a favour alongside another photographer?

Either way I'm sure you'll do fine! Plus Noink's AF is much better than Canon's so less OOF pics with the fast lens.
