Fits perfectly! Seriously, this new logo is a "not equal" sign. So we are not equal? That's kind of racist and just mentally uncomfortable if you ask me because we are all one race even we are from different cultures and we all have different artwork to share whether if people think if it's bad or not.

Solid and balanced, isn't tipping over by missing parts. Colors fit the website's theme, and achieves in serving the purpose of a logo to be instantly reconisable. Doesn't immediately look like a plethora of unrelated symbols such as Z, X, %, =/=, $, etc. Maybe except an ape kicking down something, but even that is more meaningful than a cactus.

the logo has already been used by another site, and it's very similar. the only thing different about dA's logo is it's thicker than the one that already existed.

I'm sorry, but you're gonna have to get over it. They didn't change it on a whim, and they're not going to change it again because people whine. There's very little reason that the logo should effect people that much anyway.
