UPDATE - added a new 2015 instalment! drawn with an intuos4 large this time.Jessica-Ink asked me to update loish.deviantart.com/art/ariel⦠in my current style, which struck me as a really good idea! i thought this would be especially interesting for those who have been following my work since 2006 or before :]
left one was draw in in oekaki ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oekaki ), the right one was drawn in photoshop cs5 in about an hour. both with wacom tablets (the old one with a huge, a4 oversize intuos2, the new one with a small intuos4). for more info on my artwork please visit loish.deviantart.com/journal/6β¦

Huh, a marked improvement but still a slow and steady one... THERE IS HOPE FOR ME! Seriously though, seeing how fast some people improve in posts like this can be a bit disheartening, good to see not everybody just shoots up in leaps and bounds.

So cool that you have updated! I remember seeing this as a high school senior and viewing it as a kind of "you'll get better" inspiration, and now as a university senior it's more of a "you'll always be evolving" inspiration.

The improvement in style is palpable. The lines and colours are so confident in the 2015 one. But, for some reason I like the 2011 one.Β
