thanks! i'd say these would take me about a day each on average, but there was a lot of concept art that went before this (so that the client could agree to the look of the character)

The first picture is beautiful. Your subject has a comely face and her hair is nicely rendered with good "flow" in the "strands". The posture and the colors speak well about the period the subject is in (I'm going with late 1700s to mid-1800s).
The second picture is, for me, confusing. It isn't the style because I like your lines and colors. It isn't the posture because that is the classic/cliche heroic pose and it should be fine with the subject matter. I'm going to have to say it's the lighting in the picture that irks me. Her face is so dark but the rest of her is not shaded in the same way. I'm guessing you did this so that the details would come out, but I think the shaded face should compliment the way the rest of the body is shaded.
Still, they're beautiful pictures. Wonderful style.

I think when I play my 2nd run in Fable 3 I'll use the princess instead and dye her clothes in this color pattern.
