I use Daz, same thing. Handy for smaller scenes and renders.

Yeah, Daz is really bad for that, they entice you with a few freebies but then you gotta buy, or learn how to make your own. And there are plenty of tools for doing just that, the only bit is, there's a steep learning curve for modeling, UV mapping, and texturing, never mind rigging.

Daz basically wants a monopoly on the hobbyist market, and it looks like they are getting it. In the long run this will be bad for everyone. Personally, I liked using both, but Daz had the figures vendors were supporting. Now what we are getting is a new figure version released yearly, and the old content is no longer backwards compatible, so you wind up re-buying the same stuff over, and over. It's becoming quite a scam.

Daz wont's to link your content so you no longer down load it is linked to your runtime lol need a fast internet for that.

well they will lose people losts of small sites still do poser stuff

and as for the Das its a new base every 2 months I thinks it's funny they must think people are stupid

have loads of stuff for v4 I lost my account with RDNA but all my content is back up

Daz is going to buy renderosity next

I think you are right poser 11 will be the last poser

The newest version of DIM is bugged so now I get no updates and have to DL my stuff individually. That Smart Content thing has never worked for me.

I'm expecting they will go after Renderosity, that's another site that's going downhill, but that's their own fault. Buncha goofballs running things there now. Otherwise as a broker and community site, they could have beat Daz hands down. Back when I first joined that place was well designed, well run and full of people. Now...not so much.
