When you wake up in the morning, you're a little disoriented. You're wrapped in someone's arms and you're not sure whose. But then you look up and see Nick and you remember. You grin happily. Yesterday was quite eventful. You had helped Nick Fury on a mission. You had liked him for a long long time, but he always remained closed off, distant. You understood he was the Director and he wouldn't want to compromise your positions. Then you had almost died. He admitted his love for you and now here you are, at a hotel. You sigh, resting you head back onto his chest.
He stirs, rubbing his hand along your back. "Good morning," he says.
"Morning," you say, looking up again. You smile at him and he returns it, slightly surprising you. He isn't a man who smiles often.
Then you press your forehead against his shoulder, sighing. "So, I guess we have to return to the real world now."
"Not yet," Nick says, surprising you again.
You peer at him questionably. "No?"
"No," he says, running his hand along your cheek. "I've wanted to be with you for so long. How about we just enjoy the moment?"
"Okay," you laugh. "I'm happy with that."
"Good," Nick grins, pulling you forward to kiss you.
"Hmm," you sigh into your kiss. "I love you."
Nick presses his lips to your forehead for a long while. "I love you, too."

This is short, but I didn't think anyone would really mind lol
