Reader X Silver Surfer

“It won’t hurt you.”
You glance up at Silver Surfer, nervously shifting from one foot to the other. Deep down, you know he wouldn’t let anything happen to you. In fact, he has kept you out of harms way numerous times. Looking at him, the afternoon light shimmering on his beautiful skin, you feel utterly safe. Glancing down again, you take a large gulp. Silver’s surfboard lays in front of you, barely hovering an inch above the dirt.
“I know YOU would never hurt me,” you murmur.
You can sense Silver’s impatience. “The board doesn’t do anything I don’t want it to do.”
You sigh, nod. “I know.”
You tentatively lift your leg, barely touching your foot to the surface. Behind you, you see a flash of silver, and Silver hops onto his board. The board doesn’t even move from the new weight. Silver turns to you, holding out his hand. You bite your lip and slip your fingers into his.
He hoists you up, surprising you by pulling you to his chest. Your cheeks flush as you glance up at his face. He smiles, brushing his hand across your cheekbone. You close your eyes in pleasure.
“See? It isn’t so bad,” he whispers.
Your eyes open wide and you look down, butterflies swarming in your stomach. You are hovering at least ten feet from the ground. “Yeah, not so bad.” You clutch closer to Silver, burying your face against his chest. He chuckles as he wraps his arms around you.
