Well lemme help you think of it in another light. Art doesn't have to be as technical as you describe it. Heck, sometimes art is the very opposite of that! Sure you probably won't make absolute masterpieces when starting off, but just draw for fun. I started off with this mindset and only until I found out I really loved it, did I accept a more technical approach to doing art. But should you decide to not get into it, I won't hold that against you!

Nah, it's just everyone else is drawing, and I'll just be starting it. And since everyone else already drawn the ideas I would want to try, it's just... There was convention, everybody showed their things, everybody packs up, and I show up with same things. I like MLP, but things been done already.

It's never too late to start. The more you tell yourself that, the more of an excuse you're gonna have for not starting.
And it's not wrong to draw an idea that's been done before. Heck, my art is far from truly original ideas. They mostly
come from other artists and me doing my take on it. It's never too late to learn!
