Really nice shot!
I think the single-colored background creates a very soft appearance.
So I personally wouldn't prefer a different background, but the background takes a fairly large area. To make the flower stand out a little bit more it might help to crop the picture a little bit or maybe go for a quadratic format.

Great capture with perfect focus, really well done. The only problem in my opinion is that the background is a bit boring. You have some photos in you gallery with blurred backgrounds like this loloalien.deviantart.com/art/T⦠or loloalien.deviantart.com/art/S⦠, maybe something of that sort and/or vertical orientation or square crop would make the photo even better.
