The idea behind this concept belongs to `designgeek - this is merely a deviation that I have created which will enable people to share the idea through the favourites system or in their journals as a thumbnail.If you believe in her browse feature which would enable Deviants to actively seek those looking for constructive feedback then please add this to your favourites, mention it to your DeviantART contacts, and / or place a thumbnail in your journal. Any help is appreciated!

This is a terrific idea. To me, dA is what you make of it. Your idea really supports that - if you want help, you could get it a lot easier and from a wider variety of deviants than before. If not, then disable your comments and browse normally.

I like the idea, in fact now that I think about it, it should be more browse options, because right now you basically can browse any category by either submit date or piece's popularity.

I think this method would mean more for the artists on the website - hopefully making the dA experience that much richer

And what about a more easy and faster Art Submition? Don't you think that maybe could exist less pages too upload a photo, just choose the category at first and on the second page the rest. And that should be all... do you support me?

Someone had the idea of a submission process that saves your preferences as you go - if you always submit to a select few galleries you can simply choose them from a 'hot list' and save the extra steps inbetween. I thought that was a neat idea

You have my support but... I'm a bit confused as to why I cannot comment on your fotos Evan?
BTW... another feature I would like as a subscriber is to have a single button Submit Personal which you could program with your prefered default submission details.
Eg I usually submit with Deviation/Photography/Art Photography/Animalsplants and Nature/Landscapes... five page to load. A user programable one button submit would be heaven.

Ah, a nice idea with the custom submit feature - I would seriously send a note to the Help Desk under the site suggestion category! People who plan out the dynamics of the site should be aware of these ideas and you've got nothing to lose
As for commenting - I need to write a little blurb with each photo again as to why I have comments disabled. I'm totally open to critique as I'm still learning, but at the same time I don't have the time anymore to reply to all of my own comments. When I hit that point the frustrating part was not being able to comment on the work of others or socialize - two main reasons why I joined the site in the first place - to learn. I was missing out on too much around me and I knew I wouldn't be able to go on like that forever, so I disabled the comments and I've felt great since. I still get critique in the form of notes and I've found that the quality of the critique has gone through the roof - people are very constructive when they take the extra step to send a note and I really appreciate that.
But yeah - I do need to make that more clear - thank you!

Now I know that I will certainly take the time to note you. You have a very distictive gallery in style and content I find your pics not to be disposable but able to be contemplated for considerable lengths of time ie.. should be framed on my wall! heheh! I would be happy to take any instruction you might be able to offer. I am still on the steep part of the learning curve

That is a great idea!
Maybe there could even be features to view deviations that have not received any comments. Or features to direct comments towards generic questions such as "Is the contrast okay in this image?"

Those are nice ideas - especially the second which gives the artist an option to ask generic questions that can be searched for from a browse menu. I suggest you send a note to the HelpDesk and share these ideas as site suggestions
