Lovely pic of Jose Ferrer as the Padishah Emperor Shadam IV. While I'm not a fan of David Lynch's version your art has captured a great scene.
As a science fiction action movie Dune (1984) wasn't bad. As an adaptation of the book it failed. Sci-Fy Channel's miniseries did a much better job.

I think the design and mood of Lynch's movie is flawless, and the lineup of actors ain't half bad either. I'm actually a fan of the Lynch movie, and I'm also a fan of the books. It's much the same way I'm a fan of the Lord of the Rings books AND the movies, but they're not the exact same thing for me.

This is what you get when the spice has been slowing way too much

Yes. It's been a long time, but yeah. I think I saw it twice tbh.
I like it, but it's very weird.

They're some of my all-time favorite stories, and they get increasingly weird with every book. But getting through them is a pretty big time investment.

I like reading so that's not a problem. My reading problems usually comes from a book not being very interesting or well written... that slows me down a lot. But I tend to refuse to stop until I'm finished. XD
