Description Here we have the vital tools a certian Time Lord needs in order to go about his business of saving the universe:

PSYCHIC PAPER: It's a good idea NOT to let your mind wander when trying to bluff your way past someone using this. Because it reads your mind and transmits whatever image or words you want your target to see. Unless of course, s/he actually has psychic training - like those uppity Torchwood operatives...

SONIC SCREWDRIVER: The must-have tool for the man-about-the galaxy. Short of killing, wounding, or maiming a living being - or opening a very few special locks - this thing can do darn near ANYthing. Thus, given the fact that it appears in a "TARDIS tool box" in at least the 1996 Fox TV movie, I'd hate to think how complicated it is to keep a TARDIS running! o_O
-being that it has at least 2,000 functions, my personal theory is that (like certian other Time Lord technology) there's a degree of telepathy involved in the operation. IE, the Doctor "thinks" what he wants the device to do, then he activates it.

Finally - JELLY BABIES! ...Sort of. Since I don't know of any specialty food shops that import snacks from the UK, I had to settle for a substitute - gummy bears! Apparently the favorite sweet of the fourth incarnation of The Doctor, and also eaten by at least the seventh as well. Hey, a hero can't operate on an empty stomach!

My "props" for this are a simple card holder for the psychic paper, your basic bag of gummy bears, and the Character Options electronic Sonic Screwdriver pen. Not to get anyone's hopes up unduly, but based on some pre-order lists, it looks like C.O. may finally be getting ready to market it here in the USA! Not that it's a huge deal to get ahold of one from the UK, if you can find one in stock!

I may have totally missed the bus on Dr. Who (only becoming a fan with the new 2005 series), but the great thing about being a newb is having some 4 decades of past lore to root through while I await the third season!

Doctor Who and his tech are owned by the BBC...
*thinks, "ask Kerrie again how to make the little trademark-symbol-whatsis!" *
With special thanks to Sci-Fi for brining it across the pond for us!

i think the psychic paper shows the reader what the reader wants to see. or what they are thinking of and i think this is proven by "the empty child" of the ninth doctor between rose and captain jack, as well as in "tooth and claw" when the doctor shows it to queen victoria and is surprised to find out what it says. the doctor often seems surprised when he hears the reader state what it says. i could be wrong and it may be completely inconsistant

Hey, I just had to welcome a new fan to the series of Dr. Who. It's a series I'm sure you will come to love. Depending on how much you like retro stuff the older episodes of DR. Who are really good, some of may favorites were the Tom Baker episodes such as:
"The Brain Of Morbius"
"Terror of the Zygons"
"The Seeds of Doom"
"The Robots of Death"

And many other I can't remember at the moment, check them out if you like

I agree with falling in love at the later hour. But then I can go back and watch Fourth Doctor (whom I love) and that's pretty sweet. I adore 2005+ of course since that's what got me in.
I have a Sonic Screwdriver and Psychic paper too!

I just threw away some jelly babies I'd bought in the 80s.
But they came in a TARDISI shaped box!

'Tis easy, but not quite accurate - the holder the Doctor uses is black, and I'm pretty sure it's bigger...

But anyhow, it's a plastic card-holder. I got mine at CVS, it was a giveaway with "Medicare Tuesdays" that they had a while back. I've also gotten something similar in the mail, with an invite to the 'North American Hunting Club.' (I guess since the marketing droids know I like guns, they assume that I hunt too....) O_o

Nice XD Handy! And yeah, I agree, there has to be SOME degree of telepathy involved. I mean, there are HOW many settings?

And oh man, Bassett's jelly babies are the best. Way superior to our own Australian jelly babies, I will happily admit! I have GOT to find some place here that stocks them... XD

i made a Classic Series model Sonic Screwdriver redesign from clay, a plastic paintbrush handle (note to self:be careful when using bakeable clay on plastic before putting it in an oven.) and some silver spraypaint.
now I wanna make a TARDIS and scarf. maybe a Dalek if I have the time and patience.

Thanks for the fave!

Hmmm...btw, that "classic" Pewter Sonic Screwdriver pen did arrive. Looks nice, but it would take "trick" photography to make it the proper scale. It's TINY compared to the Character Options one....:/

Oh wow, this looks like a set for a Time-Lady, but then again, it's great. I too, want Mc Coy's umbrella and i was also tempted to knit my own Tom scarf.

Man oh MAN! Before any Who fan - or any Briton, for that matter, feel the need to correct me...

Jelly Babies are NOT gummy bears!

Jelly Babies are superior in EVERY fashion to gummy bears! More flavors, better taste, far, FAR better texture.

I didn't just happen upon a specialty food shop that I've missed out on, btw. Thanks to an online store specializing in British food imports, I found myself in possession of two bags of Basset's Jelly Babies tonight!

Still.....probably gonna leave this Deviation "as is." When my CLASSIC Sonic Screwdriver pen arrives, I may whip up something else.

No, I'm NOT going to knit a Tom Baker scarf! O_O

Though....I DO want McCoy's umbrella....

Yup! Jelly babies are superior, there's no comparison! They have that sugary coating... *¬*
