Well behind schedule, Anna takes the hopper to the Lunar Space Elevator, informally called Fox Two by everyone, though it's the first of its kind. Fox One is a planned elevator on Earth but construction hasn't started there yet. Material science is not quite ready for an elevator on the Mother planet but the moon's slower rate of rotation, lack of weather and tectonic instability and shorter height... only 400 kilometers, while Earth would need 35,000 klicks for geostationary orbit... all contribute to work within existing technological abilities to construct the first elevator on the Moon. Still, Anna surmises, standing at the baseof the tower, 400 kilometers is not small. And a worthy feather in the cap for Fox Aerospace. Smarter people than me, Anna thinks, say Martina Fox is a genius among geniuses. Seems to be a family trait, her predecessors were also gifted...
