i swear, you NEED to make a tutorial
the jaw has dropped to previously unseen depths.
e'en i, who do not like diamond shapes think that the diamond in the center complements the rest of the scheme and adds a sort of... rigid quality which balances out the fluid wavy bits
XD
plus the colors!
GORGEOUS

My pleasure.. I have run with a few fractals that get busier and busier the more I play with them.. but for me the simple usually wins out... I really like this one, which is somewhat unusual for me considering it is not usually the style that I make or am drawn to.. i dunno.. I don't want to say anything that detracts from this cause it is absolutely gorgeous...

Julian is a type of fractal function.

Oooh, a Julian! Not many good-quality Julians pop out as often as they used to.

I like your gradient choice here. It really brings the smooth, gentle sides and corners to life. However, I don't care for the middle. It seems out of place compared to what surrounds it. The colors look much more vivid in the middle, but I think that the white is too overpowering here.

The asymmetry of your Julian was a good choice. It helps make the viewers' eyes wander around your fractal more. There's also no signs of grain at all, and that makes me happy.

Keep it up, Gina! Keep taking Apophysis to its limits and you'll be rendering amazing stuff in no time.

Yay! You're welcome, LonesomeFaery! I'm glad I could help you out!

Up close and personal with it, it's a magnificent piece with lively and vibrant colors and intricate patterns. Definitely reminds me of springtime and as such, I'm going to be featuring this piece in my Wave of Faves Feature this week. So congrats on a lovely work of art!
