Description
Despite the Day of the Dead being a time of prayer and spiritual inflection, this is seriously one of the creepiest holidays I have ever heard of; every horror movie ever made should tell you that you do not mess with, talk to, or call on dead spirits, good intentions or no. I don't know why I have such an aversion to these kinds of holidays and rituals; maybe it's just because I know so much history already. I had to look up what the Day of the Dead is about, and I discovered that one of its origins is the Aztec goddess Mictecacihuatl, the overseer of the dead in the underworld; you can read about her here, if you're interested: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mictecac… . But for whatever reason, South American and Meso-American traditions and lore do not appeal to me as much as the North American ones, which I think may have more to do with my preference of climate than anything else (I am NOT a fan of tropics). Not to mention, the practices of the Aztec Empire were a little past questionable; there's a reason every other South American nation hated them and were glad the Spanish conquistadors brought them down. And by the way, if you want someone to blame for the annihilation of the Native American nations, that would be SMALLPOX; 90% of the population of both Americas had been wiped out by disease by the time the pilgrims got to Plymouth in the 1600s. So no, I don't care much for this holiday; to quote my grandmother, "Ask me what my opinion on this is." Well, my characters are Anthro, however, not all of them have snouts. Some could look mostly human, minus maybe green skin, or cat ears, or a tail. So if you don't want to do full anthro, it could still work out. It would be neat just to see you make something.

Well, Ace for example, who would probably look the most human....minus a lizard tail, green skin, and fish ears...but due to one of your mermaid pix, I see the latter 2 shouldn't be a problem.

The first one (minus the goggles) has probably has the best color combination to his jacket, and the 2nd one has the best armor/mail/leather ratio if said 2nd picture had some armor had some of the colorings of the other 2. The 2nd one probably also has the most human looking face and balance between realistic and anime hair.

Here are some alternative color schemes to different outfits if those would be easier to make. Some are less detailed or civilian:
Emerald Angel by ACEnBEAKY Ace grey by ACEnBEAKY These 2 tend to be his earlier and kid friendly look. I will say the shoulder pads and shoulder spikes are better colored on this 2nd one. Then there's civviesAce by mrL8on ...here's a simpler, darker colorscheme. .Commission. Ace by Noire-Ighaan as well as a more anime face .Commission. Ace and Kat by Noire-Ighaan .
Sooooo that's Ace, for example. He comes in different shapes and styles, drawn by both me and different people. You have a lot to chose from, or mix and match, or sort of make your own. If it's easier to do the more anime/fish, the more human, or the more cat like in the face, whatever you can do (although I recommend the fish ears). As you'll also see, there are the 2 other flat faced characters I would like you to do, Kavi the sheep girl (seen in the 4th picture I posted, where she and Ace are in a concentration camp, Ace fighting while she's trying to lock pick) and Kat, who is drawn to the right on the last picture. Kavi and Kat have other iterations and styles to choose from, if we get around to it. So yeah, those would be the 3 characters I would throw at you at first, because they have the most human form, face, and figure (the others have snouts). I just threw what I thought was the most relevant drawings of Ace at you so you could see what you're dealing with and what the choices are. I can do the same for Kat and Kavi.
