I will confess, I've never seen this movie in full and I've never made it far into the audiobook before I pass out at night (I don't know what it is about kid's audiobooks: they just knock me right out); however, I do think this story a worthy addition to my collection of the same. It was mostly the comparisons with Miss Trunchbull and Miss Honey that got me going on it; the Queen of Hearts for Miss Trunchbull was just too perfect an opportunity to throw away. Dahl's description of children and their parents at the start of the book is absolutely the best; here's the audiobook, if you want to take a listen: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSLCZS… .The hardest struggle was finding a suitable child for Matilda; in the book, she's 6 years old, but I wanted someone not too small so she would be visible, but not too old so she would still be mostly a child. In the end, I picked this extra from Mulan 2; as far as I know, she has no given name, but she looks really sweet and I think it works well. Your thoughts? Thanks!
