Okay, disclaimer over. This drawing has been an adventure, as in it took a lot of experimentation to get it done. Never drew ice before, but I think it came out alright. The colors... Some were straight forward like the grays, but the forearms, upper legs, and front of the mask... that was a hard color to discover. So it's supposed to be a greenish blue, that's how the character was represented. Unfortunately crayola fifty packs of colored pencils don't carry the shade I needed. Turned out mixing gold and sky blue, and then paling the color with an eraser, followed by blending them with a q-tip gave me the exact color I wanted. Huh...

Rundas is a character and boss you fight in the game. He is an alien that has cryokinetic powers (Can control and manipulate ice. Think Frozone from Disney's "The Incredibles"). I took some liberty on the shading to compensate for the blues he would be surrounded by, but also his character model's textures are highly reflective and can look different depending on both the lighting and the angle, so liberties almost have to be taken at that point. His body type is very interesting as well, and does not allow for the flexibility of the surfing pose I gave him, so that was fun to work around as well XD! This character's homeworld is a moon named "Phrygis" and it is known for its ice mining, which of course led to this species' control of the substance. (Sci-fi... am I right!?).

All in all, this was a fun challenge, I learned some new color-blending techniques, and I got to release a detailed picture with a background to compensate for my recent ones that lacked a background. I hope you like it, might do more metroid fan art soon (rather than transformers... Don't think I could realistically manage that XD!).
