Sedna, Inuit goddess of the sea, whose severed fingers became the ocean mammals.

This is something I've been meaning to do for a while - it's a re-do of an illustration I did in 2007, which was frankly awful. The original is still in my scraps: fav.me/d14csiv

Thank god I've improved. This is the result of lots more practice, using reference, and more time (I did every assignment the night before in college... it was no good).
