And you guys thought Taylor looked like Thor BEFORE. lol by the way... you have no idea how much those Thor comments made me happy. That was an inside joke between me and Ren since Thor came out in theaters. Every time I see that movie, I imagine a big X scar on Chris Hemsworth's cheek.Aaaaanywho. The generic pirate talk makes me cringe every time I hear it. I'm certain Hollywood invented it. It really just... doesn't suit his looks. I don't expect he'd talk all fancy and proper, but when he's the only one in his crew with the style, it's off-putting.
I really love how you've been drawing the ocean, though. As for the rain, water isn't actually blue, so maybe try semi-transparent white for a bit more of a realistic look? Anime style isn't an excuse. :V
I must sound like a dick at this point. XD I'd just like to see you both improve is all. The art is good overall, and I'm still reading it after the first dozen pages so the story does have me interested enough to keep following. Have to wonder where Scholar really told the captain to go. XD

Taylor's the kind of person who goes back and forth in dialect depending on the situation. In a high adrenaline situation, he falls into colloquialisms more often than not. But when it's sort of low key, he becomes a little more proper in speech, though not by much. Plus, he wasn't exactly raised in Oxfordshire.
As for the blue, there's actually a blue filter for night scenes to give it a sort of lunar glow. So the blue water your seeing isn't the rain itself, it's the filter over it. Except for the puddle in panel 4. that is blue.
