Here we have the "joker" archetype of the group. Oran loves to laugh, play jokes, pranks, and mainly just drive his teammates crazy. Which makes sense, seeing as how he's a hyena faunus. He can take certain things seriously though, like the tragic death of one of his teammates parents... oh...
In a fight, Oran depends on his Gust Bracers to bring the power of a tornado to his punches. They are also capable of firing off powerful bursts of wind that, while not greatly damaging to enemies, can send them flying and generally annoy the crap out of them, much like Oran himself.
Lastly, if you'll notice the bottoms of his shoes have spikes on them. this helps with his semblance which is... Expanded Lung Capacity!!...
Ok, yeah, sounds lame, but just give it a minute. Outside of battle, this basically allows Oran to laugh until long after the joke stops being funny, as well as making him excel at physical activity. Also, as one might imagine, he can hold his breath for a LONG time. But the main use for this gift is to take a deep breath and blow everything in front of him off their feet. Grimm, walls, even trees, nothing can stand up to the powerful gusts he emanates. The "cleats" he wears keep him from blowing himself away. Of course, extended use of this power can leave him exhausted and gasping for breath.
Okay, only one member of this new team that came from nowhere!
Nichol Cuillere... By far the one that has given me the most trouble making.

Β (Hmmm, I generally like him. I also like that he's implied to be little or immature, mainly because I got kind of obsessed with Hyenas for a bit, specifically the Spotted Hyena,Β and know that their females are the larger, stronger, and more dominant ones. Also, Hyenas in general are vicious little 'bleeps' with a matriarchal system that I actually found rather fascinating.
Β 'Ahem' On to the actual character... A laughing prankster is appropriate, and like this audible punching and gusting thing he's got going on with his bracers. The blowing people away with his breath thing makes me smile because of the old 'Little pig, little pig, let me come in' bit with the huffing and puffing and, you know what I'm talking about. Anyways, he looks fun, rather like him.)

Yeah "fun" is the main word I'd say I used when making him. I hope I can get ariound to drawing his weapons in action someday. I'm looking forward to some "Air-doukens" from him.
Interesting info you gave me there as well. Maybe Oran's got a big scary over-bearing mom somewhere out there. We'll see.

Β (Heh,Β I could easily see that. Also a tidbit, something that fascinated me was that while the matriarch of a pack of Cackle was what you'd expect, the biggest, strongest, meanest of the bunch, all of that, her DAUGHTERS also got a similar status... regardless of their actual attributes, at least from what I remember. They compete with each other sure, but it's hands off for the rest of the group, I believe because that brings down the wrath of the matriarch if an outsider attacks one of her daughters. Don't believe males have the same treatment, they're bottom of the pack regardless.
Β And that sounds like it would be quite fun, lots of punching and bashing and general enjoyment of combat! Thrill-seeking prankster of the group perhaps. Nods.)

Once again, you have not only met my expectations, but surpassed them. Oran looks like that guy who you just want to have a party with, y'know? And I'm sure those hyena genes of his will have something to do with his personality. Is he a jokester? Is he always hyper and ready to go? Again, up to you, but I'm looking forward to the bio!
Totally wasn't expecting the metal hands, though. I'm going to go on a run and say his backstory is depressing to contrast his happy emotions? Whatever it may be, I look forward to what you have in store for us.
Which one was next? Nikoel? Nick... Nickeol? Niceol? Screw it, I'm calling her Nicky for short. That could be her nickname or something. Looking forward to her too!

Also, I was gonna give Oran hands! Why do people keep thinking I want to cut the hands off characters I design?!
That being said, a tragic hand losing story would make this character a lot more interesting. We'll see. The rest of his personality (that I came up with so far) is in the description.
Nichol should be all set. Her weapon might need some tweaking. But hey! Almost done!

Well, it wasn't hard to think that when you see how tight the gloves look on his hands. That and the gloves look very mechanical. That AND the gloves sort of cut into some feathers or whatever, making it look like they're hiding the scars below. Just my opinion anyway.
You could definitely do that. You could say that he's all cheerful and stuff because it's his way of trying to forget about something in the past. What that thing was is up to you. Maybe his father died when he was a kid, and some assassin cut off his arms before being rescued by someone, or maybe he got his hands trapped in a garbage compactor. XD
Time for the Nick-ster! I'm looking forward to her! When do you think she'll be ready for release?

And the cybernetics in his gauntlets help him use his hands in day to day life... They just happened to also allow him to wind punch the hell outta people. Fun times.
You've hit the nail on the head with Nichol's personality (And Oran's reaction to it. Ultimately though, he just wants to see her smile at least once). There's a bit more to her... But I'll save that for when she's released.

I can create some depressing scenarios when I think for a while. Actually... my mind is pretty messed up.
How about he had scars so big and so thick from fighting a large Grimm or something, they went all the way down to his bone, completely severing all feeling in them. After experiencing excruciating pain, he was rushed to the hospital by father (friends, others, etc.) only to be told by the doctors that his hands would be irreparable by this point. If father, after investing hundreds of dollars toward the hospital, they finally did work on Oran's hands and that's how he got his gloves. They would connect all nerves with each other, as well as give Oran the power you described.
See? Messed up, man. Messed up.
Ooooh, so Nicky is the serious one, eh? If that's so, then I can just see now that Oran would do his absolute best to make her smile just once. She probably never had a tragic past (just guessing, since I dunno), so maybe she's just serious and grumpy because that's simply how she is? We may never know...
...well, I mean, until later today, hopefully.
In other news, I could imagine Oreonna and Maybelle getting along pretty well. Sure, they're the stereotypical "Brain and Brawn troop", but I believe their friendship could become something more. No, no, nothing romantic I assure you, but perhaps...
...sisterhood? Or at the very least, something extremely close to it. Besides, their personalities sort-of divert from the trope we've seen again and again in just about everything ever. Thanks for that!
