Finally did something with this. www.deviantart.com/iceheart-fo…

It's nice to take a break and just work on something fun that I love!

Construction Worker May with her Miltank "Alexandra", and her over-energetic Lunatone "Selene". Would have loved to put more of her team in here, chose some real good ones for her, but time restraints and all that.

Anyway, enjoy random story because random.

-----------------------------------

May slammed her trusty sledgehammer into the concrete with a satisfying *WHAM*, transforming the remains of the wall before her into a pile of crumbling pieces. After taking a moment to wipe the sweat from her brow, the blonde whistled sharply and quickly. Her Lunatone zoomed over in an instant, barely managing to stop itself before it rammed into May, then began watching it's trainer eagerly with it's big, red eyes. "Selene, use Psychic," Maybelle said pointing at the pile of debris she'd just made.

"Luna!" the Lunatone shuddered slightly and a wave of pinkish energy covered the pile, and then the debris began floating in the air, orbiting around the Pokemon. The Moon shaped rock type carried the bunch of concrete over to the nearby dump truck and deposited it's cargo in the back, then it zipped right back over to Maybelle, shifting back and forth in front of her almost excitedly, or as excited as a sentient piece of stone could look.

The construction worker slapped her hand against her partners rough surface a few times in praise. "Yeah, yeah, good job, don't let it go to your head or anything," May said to her Pokemon with a smirk and an eye roll. "Now, can you please finish moving those girders for me?"

"Tone! Tone!" Selene rocketed off to the other end of the yard, practically barrelling into the neatly stacked girders when they got there.

Maybelle shook her head in amusement. Selene always got this way around the time of a full moon, darting all over the place like a hyperactive kid. Usually it meant work got done faster, but sometimes the psychic/rock type caused more problems than it solved with it's hasty nature.

From behind her, May heard the sound of another wall of the derelict building toppling over, and not long after a pink and black ball came rolling out of the rubble right up to her side. The strange looking orb uncurled, revealing a Miltank looking up at it's trainer with it's bright blue eyes. "Nice work, Alexandra. That takes care of the east wing, only the west and the foyer left." May couched down and pet her Pokemon between it's horns.

"Miltank!" the cow type Pokemon bobbed up and down in place happily. It's Rollout move went a long way with helping with the deconstruction part of Maybelle's construction work, better than most wrecking balls she'd seen actually. Alexandra was definitely the strongest of her partners by far, which made sense since May had gotten her in a trade with-

May's face went sour for a moment. Well, It didn't matter who she'd gotten her from. That was a long time ago anyway.

"Mil..." the Miltank cocked her head to the side curiously and the construction worker sighed before smiling at her partner and giving her one final pet before standing.

May hefted up her hammer over her shoulder. "Anyway, we should be able to finish up before the end of the day," she said with a little sadness in her voice. The blonde walked over to nearby sturdy looking wall, one that would probably take on of her co-workers all day to take down, and took her weapon of choice in her hands, her finger-less leather gloves creaking as she tightened her grip. With a growl of effort, May swung her sledgehammer at the base of the wall, crashing through the plaster and concrete, even denting the metal girder inside as the structure crumbled down.

This went on for several more strikes, leaving another pile of rubble for Selene to pick up where the entire side of the building had been. Maybelle huffed from the exertion and she rested on her hammer for a minute. She'd been going like this for hours now, her co-workers having went off on lunch a while ago. they'd called out for her to join them, but she was just in a mood today, and not a great one at that. Besides, the best part about a job like this was there's always another old, broken down thing in need of a good smashing, and if there was one thing May excelled at, it was breaking things, buildings or otherwise.

Gritting her teeth and lifting her hammer again, May readied another strike, rearing back to destroy both the wall, and her own repressed frustration from the last few years in one mighty swing, or try to at least.

"Moo...?" Alexandra trotted over and placed a hoof on her trainers overall covered leg, May looked down to see her partners eyes filled with concern.

May sighed. "Yeah, I know," she said as she dropped her hammer with a heavy *thud*, "I'm not helping my situation getting all worked up like this. I just..." The blonde fell back onto her butt and started absentmindedly drawing circles in the dirt beneath her. "Maybe I do need a break..."

"H-hello?"

A timid voice from behind startled the construction worker and had May spinning around and quickly standing, dusting off her dirty overalls before looking up to see who the new arrival was. It was a girl, with black and white hair and a cap with pointy cat ears on top. Not to mention, the most beautiful, shining, pink colored eyes Maybelle had ever seen, but that wasn't the first thing the blonde noticed. The most striking thing about this girl, was the miserable looking Meowstic hanging limp in her arms, it's yellow eyes half lidded and it's ears drooping slightly.

"M-meeow..." the Pokemon muttered weakly. It was subtle, but May could also just make out tiny sparks arcing off the cat like Pokemon.

"Is there a Pokemon center nearby?" the "cat" girl asked meekly. "Disc- I mean, my Meowstic accidentally stepped on a Stunfisk on route 8 and got paralyzed. I'm all out of Paralyze Heals and... and..." The panic in the girls voice was starting to grow as she clutched her Pokemon tightly.

May did her best to calm her. "Hey, hey, it's okay," she said softly, holding her hands up in a peaceful gesture. "Wait, you ran here all the way from route 8?"

The girl nodded quickly, looking confused as to what that had to do with anything.

That was actually pretty impressive, and the girl didn't even seem that out of breath either, but unfortunately... "Umm... the nearest PC is actually in the opposite direction..." May said reluctantly.

The trainers face immediately fell into further despair as she looked down at her Meowstic helplessly. She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. The girl just looked so... lost as to what to do.

Maybelle just couldn't stand to let this poor girl suffer another second. "But," she said, reaching deep into her overalls pocket, "it must be your lucky day, because..." May finally managed to pull out a small yellow container with a spray nozzle on top of it and offered it to the strange hat wearing girl.

The trainer stared at the Paralyze Heal in surprise, then she looked to May, silent asking if she could really just take this. The blonde nodded with a smile, gently wiggling the healing ointment in front of the girl until she finally took it. The girl gently placed her trembling Pokemon on a nearby piece of concrete, laying it flat on the sun warmed surface before opening the Paralyze Heal and spritzing the liquid onto the Meowstic.

There was a brief glimmer of light, before the cat looking Pokemon stretched lazily, finally able to move freely after who knows how long. It rose to it's feet and stared up at it's trainer vacantly with it's eerie looking eyes. The hat wearing girl let out a long held breath and scooped the Meowstic in both arms and squeezed it tightly, apologizing profusely for so many things at once that May couldn't make out most of it.

"Mew..." the Pokemon said quietly as it was held tightly, not seeming to enjoy the overenthusiastic embrace, but also not trying to break free either. It just seemed content to be manhandled in such a way, but it's tails did start to wag ever so slightly before it was finally released. Maybelle placed a hand on her hip and a huge grin spread across her cheeks, it was a cute little relationship these two had.

The "cat" girl spun around to face Maybelle, before reaching into her pack on the back of her outfit. "Hold on, I can pay you for that, just let me-"

May held up a hand. "Don't worry about it," she said, waving off the offered Poke-dollars. "We run into a lot of Stunfisk around here, the place is lousy with them. I always make sure to carry around a few extra potions and whatnot. How about... uh... you tell me your name instead?" May said awkwardly rubbing the back of her head with a bashful grin.

A bit of color sprung to the hat wearing girl's cheeks and she fumbled as she re-pocketed her money. "U-um... sure... I'm Oreonna. Thank you so much for your help," the trainer said shyly as she offered her hand to Maybelle.

Cute. May thought loudly to herself, before taking Oreonna's hand and shaking it. "Name's May, Maybelle if you're fancy. Nice to meet ya,"

"Moo?" Maybelle's Miltank had finally wandered over to investigate and began sniffing at the new trainers pant leg.

"Oh!" Oreonna exclaimed happily upon noticing the new arrival, "Hello there!" She bent down to Alexandra's level and began scratching her under the chin.

"Mil!" the cow Pokemon leaned into the touch, practically falling over as she closed her eyes in bliss.

Maybelle laughed loudly. "Easy now, keep that up and she'll stick to you like glue."

"I can think of worse fates," Oreonna replied as she smiled over her shoulder to May, all the while making sure to continue pampering Alexandra.

It was May's turn to feel color rise to her cheeks. The girls smile alone was making it feel like a bunch of Butterfree were flapping around her stomach. It'd been a long time since anyone had made her feel that way...

Shaking off the embarrassing thoughts for now, May had an idea. "You know, I was just about to take a break, and if your buddy there is feeling up to it now," the construction worker pointed to the Meowstic standing at Oreonna's side looking vaguely... jealous? Apparently at the attention May's Miltank was getting, "I was thinking... do you wanna have a quick battle?"

Oreonna's eyes lit up. "Totally!" she said excitedly and locking eyes with May. "Just don't expect me to go easy on you!" There was an unexpected fire burning behind the cat hat wearing girls pink irises now, a stark contrast to the panicked expression she'd worn when Oreonna had first arrived.

That made Maybelle's own excitement grow even stronger. "Wouldn't want it any other way," she said eagerly. "Just hold on, let me get my other Pokemon over here." May turned around and held her hands up to her mouth and yelled across the yard, "Celeste! Do you wanna battle?"

May probably should have looked before she yelled, because as soon as the word "battle" was uttered there was the loud, booming sound of the twelve giant steel girders Celeste was holding via telekinesis being dropped to the ground, also toppling the neat stack the Pokemon had been making. The eager Lunatone zoomed over in an instant to Maybelle's side, excitedly zipping from trainer to trainer and to their respective Pokemon.

The poor construction worker just stared at the messy pile of girders, some of which were now embedded in the ground from the force of their fall. Maybelle covered her face with a hand.

"Welp. That's gonna take a while to pick up..."

O. M. Goodness. This is too cute! The picture, the story, everything. The way the Lunatone floats over them it's like the moon jumping over the cow! Ain't that a switch?
May got her Pokemon in a trade? Hmm, I wonder who from.
That Miltank sure lives up to the "tank" part of its name. Until Oreo scratched the feel good spot under its chin. Haha!
Yay, there's cookies & cream in this universe too!
Nice work as always!⭐️

Aha! You're doing more! This is great!

I will say this: seeing Maybelle without her faunus ears is making me question my sanity. I keep expecting them to be there and they're not HELP. I do like how you did Lunatone's eye though; it looks like a gemstone, it's neat!

Love the little story here. It's short but sweet, and shows May's the same in any universe. Ha! I wouldn't be opposed to you doing stories like these if you happen to make more MOON x Pokemon content. Though considering how much you like doing small stuff like this, I'd imagine that "if" isn't super big, lol

I think it's safe to say this is another official AU, too. I'll just add it to the list...

Looking forward to more stuff! Also, watch out for the Pokemon news tomorrow, in case you didn't already know.

Haha wouldn’t it be funny if I wrote stories for all the team MOON Pokemon crossover pics I did from now on?

Just kidding.

Unless....

(Pulls out huge binder labeled “Over implicates AU’s and starts scribbling down ideas.)
