Description
I'm running out of titles to give Dusk pictures. This looks a lot sharper in the flesh, I have to say. Scanning in stuff always makes them lose their quality.
A traditional picture taken with a camera that has sadly departed and is headed for the scrapyard in the sky.

WOOO! Beautiful shot!!!
try some different settings with the scanner, either more or less dpi in the resolution (300 seems to be good for me, but I had to change my scanner which was preset at 200)
When you do get a new camera, look into a digital. The quality some of them can come out with is exceptional, and then you don't have to deal with scanning photos.

lol...my scanner isn't that technical. You can adjust the brightness. You can adjust the contrast. That is all...
Thanks, I like it too. I have a digital camera, I'm going to get a DSLR next year. But I need a new traditional as well. I find some pictures are better traditional, some better digital...there's definitely advantages and disadvantages for both. All the traditional ones that I will exhibit won't be scanned and printed, they'll be developed by yours truly XD

sometimes traditional is good. My digital has enough settings that I can fake it, but my dad's old 35mm is a lot of fun.
awww, bummer on the scanner. I'm still learning how to use mine, but it seems to be going well. I liked the old one at the college, I knew how to make it work and work really well.

well, I've never had any experience with a decent scanner lol...but I've seen pictures on DA that were scanned in and they make me very jealous.
It makes me angry that no one is making traditional cameras any more. They have just as many advantages and disadvantages to digital. I prefer them in many ways. *sigh* It's a shame that we always think digital is better.

I agree. While I would like to learn to use Photoshop for digital arts, I prefer classic painting. I think it requires more skill.
