He helped story wise.. but it was Bob Kane that came up with the initial concept of Batman.Did you know he came up with it over a weekend?
It true... The president of National Comics (D.C. Back then.)wanted another character to follow the success of Superman... Well bob asked how much did Jerry Segel and Joe Shuster got a week for their work on Superman.. Well it was $800 a piece and back then that's a lot of money.Well you don't have to hit Bob with a stick...Bob told him For $800 a week I'll a character on your desk by Monday and that was on a Friday and sure enough using concepts of Leonardo Divinci as inspiration Kane came up with The Batman... Now I'll give finger credit he did a good job on the story aspect he helped flesh out the character with his writing but it was Bob that came up with and that's what's everyone basing that on.
