Description
So I tried to do something different with shading
When graduating from art school one of the things you could earn points for was if you have your own style and such (and if its recognizable) and I didn't get those points - something I'm still always struggling with
My style isn't the most different or recognizable out there , not to mention lately I've been having a hard time drawing things (nothing ends up good in my eyes) so that's why I wanted to try something different
It was fun but I don't know - I'll see what I think about it tomorrow haha

ik its intentional but it looks a little weird having such a long neck, maybe if you added the muscle line that some people draw it'd fit more, otherwise love your stuff

Actually, your style is one of the most recognizable I've seen. I can be browsing through a folder full of stuff and I can easily spot out your work if it's there. Wanting to change your style can be fun and exciting if it's done because you want to, but you really don't have to change anything for your work to stand out. It already does that on its own.

haha thanks ! Though I don't want to change my style, I honestly don't believe that you can just change your style in one day, it would certainly take time

I can pick your art out of a lineup easy! Ignore the art teacher tbh. Just because they're the teacher doesn't automatically mean they know better, even if they should.

It wasn't a teacher though, it was a team of professionals from the dutch gaming industry haha - 2 of the three said my style wasn't recognizable
I was making RPG designs, and since my style is somewhat relating to anime, I can see why they said that
It does make me want to do more and try new things, so somewhere it's a good thing they said that

Honestly, It sounds like that art school of yours totally snubbed you. Your style really is one of the most recognizable & distinctive I've seen on the sight... It's kind of why I gave you a watch. Though, I know what it feels like, when you just can't produce anything your proud of, just hang in there you've got a real talent.Β
Also I love the way you did his hair in this piece. It's almost like it's made of glass or something.
