for 's design contest!!! this is a finished piece instead of a ref sheet because i hate making ref sheets whoops

so uhh just to dive into the like design and why i did the things i did
i wanted it to have the overly warm almost sickly feel that like a lot of old churches have, old linoleum, pews in red velvet and like a ton of chipping wood everywhere ykyk
most of my memories of old churches and catholic churches are from when i was pretty young so i put the character in like an oversized shirt and made them like smaller and more child proportioned which also nodded to the 'baby so skinny' lyric
i added in the red markings for the song lyrics aswell as blue in the eyes i tried to make it look kinda like tears dripping down
the bottle is to represent the mentions of various alcohols in the song and the marigolds are because they are super bright and pretty but usually symbolize darker emotions and experiences again to push this like twisted churchly theme of the song
i added plenty of little scars and bandages to push the idea of the character being crazy like in the song, thats also why i added the devil horns up top where its more prevalent and pushed the angel wings down onto his tail to kinda show how hes like drifitng from everything??
